TC Electronic Flashback Delay Pedal on Korg Minilogue XD Synthesizer
I don't talk in my reviews, my opinions are written here if you need extra information about this cute pedal. The demo is recorded in stereo and I played some presets of the XD, which are quite decent.
The TC Electronic Flashback 2 is a great deal for 150 dollars. The '2290', 'tape', 'mod, and 'crys' modes were really useful to me. The rest of the modes weren't really in the 'ambient' mood to go on well with the Minilogue XD. It has something 'shimmery' that I define as captivating. I didn't catch how to use the dynamic mode. I guess that's because I am a plug and play pedal user.
Another great feature is the quarter, eighth, and dotted eighth-note subdivisions, which divided in stereo can make great soundscapes.
The true-bypass is a real true-bypass and the 'on' switch can also be used as a kind of expression pedal. An interesting feature, but not very useful for my kind of music that is a mix between ambient and progressive house. There is also a tap tempo that is very precise and easy to handle. I haven't used the loop function, nor imported presets via USB. The built quality is top-notch. Much better than other pedals in the price range.
I definitely would recommend this pedal. It is a great purchase. Even so, I am not convinced if this should be my main delay pedal, but for sure is at the podium.
