The Color Range tool is a great way to create layer masks of anything in your image. Whether you want to select a luminosity value, or a color, you can do it with the Color Range tool.
In this video, I'll show you how I make a selection of the pink clouds in the sky first. After that, I show you how to make a selection of the bright parts in the sky, essentially making a luminosity mask.
