Shoulder rigs are great for stabilizing your shots. If you do lots of handheld camerawork then the Imorden IR-02 Shoulder Rig is a great addition to your gear. This rig is solidly built and sturdy. It’s comfortable to use and the shoulder brace helps in getting steady shots. The IR-02 Shoulder Rig comes with 15mm rails with plastic end caps. Rails are easily locked in place with metal wing bolts and it also comes with extra bolts and a cleaning cloth. The main rails are set at standard width for mounting a number of accessories for your camera. The rig is fully adjustable for comfort and flexibility.
The top plate features a standard ¼ 20 tripod screw. Mounting a camera to the Imorden shoulder rig is extremely simple especially with the large knob on the bottom. It makes it really easy to tighten! Just mount a camera to the rig and it’s ready to go. You get three points of stabilization but adding a viewfinder to a DSLR gives four points of contact with your body for extra smooth shots. The rubber handgrips are comfortable and feel like handlebar grips.
Adding accessories like a follow-focus is easy with the rail system. And you’re not limited to DSLRs on the Imorden Shoulder Rig. Any camera with a ¼ 20 screw will fit including a cell phone bracket. The bottom of the rig has several tripod mounting holes and can be used to attach other accessories like a friction arm for example. That way you can hang an additional microphone, light or even cell phone to the side.
The rails are really sturdy and you can even mount larger accessories onto the rig like a teleprompter. The Imorden IR-02 Shoulder Rig is rugged and versatile at an affordable price. I can think of many uses with this rig and I’ve just shown you a few things it can do. Whether you’re shooting handheld or on a tripod, the Imorden Shoulder Rig is a handy piece of gear to have in your bag.
