Forming Connections to Address Rare Brain Tumor Treatment and Care
NCI-CONNECT (Comprehensive Oncology Network Evaluating Rare CNS Tumors) aims to advance the understanding of rare brain and spine tumors, also called central nervous system (CNS) tumors. The program takes a comprehensive approach to improve care and treatment—performing laboratory research, conducting clinical trials, and fostering a sense of community. Drs. Mark Gilbert, Terri Armstrong, and Marta Penas-Prado discuss why these tumors—and the people living with them—deserve our attention.
