Welcome! Or Welcome back! When I finished my first version of a Subnautica Walkthrough, I promised a higher-quality remake and it's been a long time coming. (For those interested, the original version is here:    • (v1) Subnautica Walkthrough - Early Game   )

-Navigation 101 - basic layout and key points in the safe shallows
Getting started: Orienting yourself and making a scanner and an air tank.
-Getting mobile: Making a Seaglide & fins, plus a repair tool, and upgrading that O2 tank to Hi Capacity.
-Getting settled: Making a Hab Builder and building an initial base.
-Venturing out: Swimming over to your first wreck to gather some valuable early-game blueprints.

Timing the Aurora Explosion (as discussed @14:20):
-Remember that you want to get in and out of the lower part of that first grassy plateau wreck before she blows.
-The start of the explosion sequence (when the PDA says "Emergency: A quantum detonation has occurred in the Aurora's drive core.[…]”) is randomly set (when you start the game) to occur sometime between 46-80 minutes in.
-The first radiation warning ("Detecting increased local radiation levels. Trend is consistent with damage to the Aurora's drive core, sustained during planetfall.") comes sometime between 9m12s and 16 minutes.
-Multiplying the time of the first warning by 5 will give you the time at which Aurora’s explosion sequence can be expected to start.
Example: If the first warning occurs at 10m30s, then 10.5 x 5 = 52.5, meaning Aurora would explode at about 52 minutes and 30 seconds.
