In his reply to a letter by African scholars, Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of the "Dar es Salaam Consensus." The consensus was jointly released by academics from 50 countries in the Tanzanian city in March. It aims to offer approaches and solutions to major global issues and challenges. Ehizuelen Michael Mitchell Omoruyi (Ehizuelen Michael M. O.), Executive Director of the Center for Nigerian Studies at the Institute of African Studies in Zhejiang Normal University, said Africans can learn from China's success in poverty eradication.
