Recently we had a look at the BLS line from Spiez to Zweisimmen ( • ★ 4K 🇨🇭 Spiez - Zweisimmen cab ride, ... ). This video is a continuation on the narrow gauge railway to Montreux.

Recently a new train was developed which allows travel between Montreux and Interlaken via Spiez. This is achieved using a regauging system in Zweisimmen, in order to allow the specially developed coaches to travel on the normal gauge rails. The train we're travelling with today is a conventional narrow gauge train. We will, however, be passing a couple of the new trains on our journey.

It's a popular train for tourists as we pass through the scenic Bernese alps and in Vaud and also a portion on Fribourg, on our way down to Montreux on the lake of Geneva.
