It is at the northern end of the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, in Granville more precisely in the English Channel, that our new 327km journey in France begins today, towards the capital. We've seen part of this line before, a previous video from Argentan to Granville ( • ★ 4K 🇫🇷 Argentan - Granville cab ride... .
No less than 8 departments will be crossed during this video, namely Manche, Calvados, Orne, Eure, Eure-et-Loir, Yvelines, Hauts-de-Seine and finally Paris .
From the port town of Granville on the banks of the English Channel to the City of Lights, passing through "Norman Switzerland" and the Normandy landscapes, it is aboard two Régiolis B84500s acquired by the Normandy region in 2014 that we will make the journey. These are capable of operating under 25 kV 50 Hz AC, 1.5 kV DC and with diesel engines.
In Granville we will leave in a single unit, and couple in Folligny (around ten kilometers after departure) to another Régiolis coming from Mont-Saint-Michel in order to continue as one train towards Paris.
