This is the PERFECT RECIPE!!! A million times tastier than in the store! Oat cookies
This is an unusual oatmeal cookie. And how crispy and flavorful it is! Even the next day, the kitchen has an amazing aroma from these cookies. And in order for the cookies to turn out just like that, I make them, you need to add pumpkin (another fruit) puree. Here you can take any fruit puree, but I recommend pumpkin puree, because it gives the liver a bright, beautiful, orange color.
Immediately grind the oatmeal into flour (it is not necessary to achieve perfect grinding here).
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl: sifted flour, oatmeal, baking powder, vanilla and a pinch of salt. You can add some ground walnuts if you like.
In another bowl, mix softened butter and sugar. We turn them into a more or less homogeneous mass. Add pumpkin puree here (bake pumpkin in the oven, microwave, steam, and then turn into puree).
Mix until smooth
Pour dry ingredients here and knead the dough.
The dough should be soft and slightly sticky to your hands.
Roll out the dough into a sheet, 5-6 mm thick.
Cut out circles with a glass or cookie cutter
On a baking sheet measuring 30 by 40 cm, I fit 20 cookies. And in total it turned out 27 pieces of oatmeal snacks with a diameter of 7 cm.
Bake the cookies in the oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes. I turn on both shadows and convection. If you want the cookies to be soft and not crunchy, you need to bake them for 10 minutes. But adjust the baking time according to your oven.
Look, these cookies look indistinguishable from store-bought oatmeal cookies (but they taste 1000 times tastier). And on the break, our cookies have a beautiful orange color.
RECIPE:
Sifted flour - 230 g (~ 1.5 cups)
Oat flakes - 150 g
Butter - 150 g
Sugar - 150 g (2/3 cup)
Pumpkin puree - 150 g
Ground walnuts - 50 g (0.5 cup) - optional
Baking powder - 7 g (1 sachet)
Vanillin - 2 g (1 sachet)
Salt - a pinch
