Counterinsurgency and Afghanistan: Experiences, Strategies and Perspectives
On February 17, the Center for a New American Security and ISPK hosted Dr. Thomas de Maizière, Minister of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany, for a public address titled "Counterinsurgency and Afghanistan: Experiences, Strategies and Perspectives." Dr. de Maizière's address was followed by a question and answer session chaired by Dr. John A. Nagl, CNAS Non-Resident Senior Fellow.
