It's not uncommon for our family and loved ones to not know how to best support us as therapists. Some truly care and try their best, only to inadvertently offer unhelpful remarks in an attempt to support us. Others are blatantly unsupportive - overtly verbalizing their lack of support.
In today's episode, I share some of the ways family and loved ones can be unsupportive (whether they realize it or not), and offer some tools to help you access the support you need as a therapist.
