Here's my video game composition inspired by Ace Attorney, Final Verdict! I'm Sab and I love saxophone and video games, so now I make compositions that combine two of my favorite things!

I recently finished Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice and absolutely adored the music in that game! It got me listening to the other Ace Attorney soundtracks again, gravitating toward the courtroom lobby themes from Trials and Tribulations and Apollo Justice. I did an Ace Attorney inspired track a few years ago now, and it was fun to take a different approach with this one!

I wanted to keep the layers really minimal in this one, having piano be the focal point. I played a lot with spacing with the two synth lines, having them pan gradually on their respective sides. I actually had the most fun with the drums on this track, which is a rare statement from me. But it was really fun to blend my acoustic drum kick with old PC drum sounds. The old PC sounds don't have much variation in sound based on velocity, so Superior Drummer laid a great foundation. It allowed me to have more nuanced playing, and use the old PC sounds as a double, really giving the drums that oomph I wanted.

For the video, I kept it really simple this time around. I didn't have much time to get this one together with the crazy month ahead, but I'm still really happy with how it turned out! Hope you enjoy it too!
