How to Download Protected/ View Only Google Slide Files From Google Drive

Greetings in this Google Drive tutorial we shall be looking at how to download view only and protected Google Slides. This tutorial is great for if you have view only access to a Google Slides file but want to download the Google Slide so you have a local copy of that Google Slide document.

This Google Slides tutorial will show you how to download a view only Google Slide from Google Drive.

The first step is to open up the Google Slide file in your web browser. The next step is to edit the url. Replace the ending that has edit followed by some other characters with the following:

htmlpresent

It doesn't matter what slide of the google slides file you are viewing when you edit the url.

Once you have edited the url, press the enter key. Now you will be taken to a html present view of the Google Slide file. You can right click on the screen and save the webpage as a html file.

That is all you need to do. When you open up the html file for the Google Slide you downloaded, you can see all the slides in that html present view. You can't select anything in this downloaded copy or edit it, but this is a great way to make a local copy of a view only protected Google Slide.
