The two largest railroads in Canada has locked out workers and shutdown operations due to an ongoing labor dispute that threatens a cascade of supply chain issues for North American industry, including those in the US. Elsewhere there were several companies reporting earnings this morning that are indicating continued strain among consumers struggling with the cost of living and lagging wages.
