Why Do AI Startups Keep Faking Their Product Demos? This is part 1 of my interview series with Carl from @InternetOfBugs. In this segment Carl talks about how he caught Cognition Labs lying about their AI software engineer, Devin, earning money with a side hustle on the freelancer platform UpWork. It turns out this is just the latest in a long line of fake AI demos that startups and big tech have put out over the last few years. The press has been all too eager to parrot these false claims and rarely holds these companies accountable for over-hyping or even outright lying about what their AI can do.
