The Intel dedicated GPU's like the Intel ARC A380 include intel's quicksync hardware encoders and decoders for fluid processing of h.265 and h.264 footage. Unlike the Nvidia gpu's the implementation includes support for 4:2:2 chroma subsampled footage from the Sony A1, A7S3 and other cameras on the market. While it doesn't have the raw power of my RTX 4090, does offloading the decoding of 4:2:2 footage in Davinci Resolve Studio 18 warrant the inclusion of an A380 in my system?
Resolve 18 is BlackmagicDesign's (BMD) newest production ready release of their award winning and seriously underpriced (can you beat free?) professional non-linear video editing software. Historically known for it's color tools, starting with Resolve 14, BMD has integrated new Editing, Sound, 3d Compositing and physics simulation tools not only matching industry stalwarts but in many ways improving the capabilities of the market.
