By default, scrolling the mouse wheel in VS Code won't zoom in or out. However, you can enable zoom functionality with the mouse wheel by following these steps:
1. Enable Mouse Wheel Zoom:
Open your VS Code settings. There are a few ways to do this:
Go to File - Preferences - Settings (or Code - Preferences - Settings on macOS).
Use the keyboard shortcut:
Windows/Linux: Ctrl + , (comma)
macOS: Cmd + , (comma)
In the search bar of the settings, type "mouse wheel zoom".
2. Choose Zoom Option:
You'll see two options related to mouse wheel zoom:
"Editor Font Size": Check this box if you want scrolling the mouse wheel while holding Ctrl (Windows/Linux) or Cmd (macOS) to zoom in and out of the editor font size.
"Integrated Terminal": Check this box if you want scrolling the mouse wheel directly in the terminal panel to zoom in and out.
