Gmail utilizes 2-Step Verification (2SV) for enhanced security, and instead of application passwords, it uses App passwords. Here's how to create an App Password for your Gmail account:
Prerequisites:
Ensure 2-Step Verification is enabled for your Google Account. You can check and enable it at https://myaccount.google.com/signinoptions....
Steps:
Access your Google Account Settings:
Go to your browser and navigate to https://www.google.com/account/about/.
Sign in to your Google Account if you're not already logged in.
Navigate to Security Settings:
On the My Account page, look for the "Security" section and click on it.
Access App Passwords:
Under the "Signing in to Google" section, you should see "App passwords." Click on it.
Select App and Device (if applicable):
You might be prompted to choose the app or device where you want to use the password. Select the appropriate option from the dropdown menus.
If the specific app you need isn't listed, choose "Other (Custom name)" and enter a descriptive name for easier identification.
