Xcel Energy warns it may shut off power in certain areas due to dangerous winds
A high wind warning is in effect noon Saturday to noon Sunday for Denver, the Foothills, I-25 corridor and plains, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Boulder. Winds could gust up to 75 mph around the Denver metro area, and up to 100 mph in the Front Range mountains and foothills.
