Schur Triangularization
We prove the Schur Triangularization Theorem which is also known as the Schur Decomposition. This theorem states that for any nxn complex matrix, A, there is an upper triangular matrix T and and unitary matrix U such that A = UTU^*. This asserts that every nxn matrix is unitarily similar to an upper triangular matrix. This theorem is an extremely power tool in proving other theorems such as the complex spectral theorem and the Cayley Hamilton Theorem which we will prove in future videos.
