TempoTec Sonata HD Pro DSD - FIRMWARE UPDATE tutorial - Hiend portable DAC - Connection problem fix. Guys this is a tutorial abut how to firmware update your Sonata HD Pro DSD decoding DAC device. Now follow the instructions showed in the video and you will make the update and the problem connecting to your computer or any device will be over; we didn't make the before and after to the sound in the new firmware but the sound is very very good also we don't know if the manufacturer decreased or increased the quality it didn't tell on his website.

Lately, USB Dongles are having quite a bit of acceptance among portable audio fans. Sometimes, to improve the sound of our mobiles, gaining more power, or to be used in portable or desktop PCs, even in tablets. In this occasion, I’m going to review two products of the already, classic, Tempotec brand, which have such good products in their catalogue, like the DAC Serenade iDSD, the DAP Variations V1-A and the DAC/APM Sonata iDSD Plus. This is the Sonata HD and its improved and more current version Sonata HD Pro. The Sonata HD is a classic dongle, consisting of a USB Type C connector + cable + 3.5mm headphone output, all assembled, with no possibility of being split. As a DAC it uses the CS42L42 chip and its maximum resolution reaches 192 kHz, with no possibility of DSD playback. However, the newest model, the PRO version, mounts the CS43131 chip. It is a small aluminum box, which, on one side has a micro-USB connector and on the other, the 3.5mm headphone output. It also has integrated volume keys. Using the different cables, which come with the product, it can be used, both for PC, Android or Apple mobiles. Of course, it already has the ability to play DSD natively, up to DSD256 and a resolution of 32bits/384 kHz. Throughout the review, I will delve into the rest of the issues, besides, of course, talking about the sound of both devices.
