36 Days of Type - 2019
I decided to participate in the 36 Days of Type challenge for the first time this year. I have sat on the sidelines watching for a few years but now I finally decided to jump in. From April 2nd until May 7th designers and illustrators from around the world shared their unique interpretations of our alphabet on Instagram one character a day.
Early on I set up my colour palette, the general structure of each letter, and a few parameters to make the project more challenging. I wanted each character to use a textured background that I photographed myself. I also set out to animate each character in After Effects to push my motion design skills further than I have gone before. This video is the complete compilation of my 36 Days of Type project.
