36 Days of Type - 2022
For my entry into the 36 Days of Type this year I decided to experiment with a different workflow where I created and animated all of my characters in After Effects. Some basic shapes were started in Illustrator and some of the background texture work started in Photoshop but my focus this year was adding to my After Effects toolbox. I'm really proud of the result and excited to share the final animation with you here.
If you aren't familiar with it - The 36 Days of Type is an annual creative challenge that pushes artists around the world to come up with unique alphabets (and numbers) over the course of 36 Days. For more details check out the main project site https://www.36daysoftype.com and if you haven't already maybe consider jumping in next year and coming up with your own alphabet.
Over the years I have put together 5 different series and have grown so much as a creative because of it. There are very few rules to stick to... so your imagination.... and the calendar are really the only limitations.
