ZADO EASTERN EUROPEAN VOCAL ENSEMBLE presents:
“Balkan/Slavic Folk Songs and Dances” – "Gather our community to welcome a New Year of new beginnings, hope, love, kindness, and fun"
This video showcases highlights from ZADO’s presentation of Bulgarian, Croatian, Georgian, Macedonian, Russian, Ukrainian, and Yiddish songs and dances on January 20, 2024 in Sacramento, California. Zado was thrilled to present this collaborative program of Balkan and Slavic folk songs and dances, featuring independent and collaborative performances by ZADO and master Bulgarian vocalists and musicians Tzvetanka, Tanya, and Ivan Varimezovi as well as a dance party for young and old to join in dancing. Many thanks to all who attended, performed, volunteered, and donated. "Wow! We had such a great time! Amazing music!" "Standing room only. We had to bring out 20 more chairs and the room was still packed. Unique and fun event!"
