In the summer of 2023, our filmmaker Roman Khomlyak and his partner-in-lens embarked on a quest to Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, aiming to capture its breathtaking majesty. While filming the picturesque pathways, they took a moment to rest and recharge by the riverbank. Captivated by the crystal-clear waters of the Smith River, they decided to take advantage of their cutting-edge Panasonic GH6 camera and its ultra-wide Laowa 6mm lens, filming in FullHD at a rapid 300 fps. Later, they utilized advanced video enhancement software to elevate the footage to an astounding 8K resolution. This impromptu decision not only infused their video with a sense of serenity but also guaranteed a visually immersive experience, showcasing both the park's scenic paths and the river's tranquil beauty with amplified clarity.
