Stew's News U.S. High Speed Rail Monthly - July 2023 - CAHSR Brightline Acela Texas Central Cascadia
All the U.S. high speed rail news fit to publish in the last month. This series is meant to catch casual viewers and listeners up on what's going on with HSR in the United States. I keep pretty close tabs on California High Speed Rail on a regular basis and have taken a closer look at Brightline West lately while making some videos about the route. I have also been looking into the Federal Railroad Administrations High Speed Rail Corridors in more depth. However, I kept wanting a single place to check out what's going on with the various projects in the U.S. in a fairly condensed format and have not found that. As a result, I decided to do it myself. Due to my recent videos, I've also had requests to cover these other projects more in depth, so I'm going to be researching all of this stuff anyway, and I may as well share what I find.
For the moment I am covering what I can find concerning California High Speed Rail, Brightline West, Texas Central Rail, Cascadia Ultra High Speed Rail, and Acela / Northeast Corridor as these are all projects that plan to meet or exceed a top speed of 150MPH. But there ARE others in early planning stages and passed among railfans in hushed whispers. I know there are other lines in the U.S. that hit 110-125MPH. I may eventually add those. I haven't decided.
