Ingredients for cooking oven baked cod:
Cod - 800 g
Bulb onions - 1 pc.
Carrots - 2 pcs.
Lean oil - 2 tablespoons
Milk - 750 ml
Potatoes - 3-4 pieces
Eggs - 3 pieces
Salt, pepper to taste
Hard cheese - 100 g
How to cook oven baked cod:
1. Prepare all the required foods according to the list. Peel and wash onions and carrots. Defrost the fish in advance.
2. Clean the fish from the remnants of the entrails, remove the black film inside the abdomen. Cut the cod into slices about 2 centimeters thick. Salt and pepper the fish. Place the pieces in a lightly oiled baking sheet.
3. Place the grated carrots on top of the fish. Add chopped potatoes and onions. Salt them.
4. Prepare the sauce for the pouring. Break 3 fresh eggs into a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and 750 ml of milk. Whisk everything well. Pour the cooked sauce over the cod and vegetables.
5. Send to an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes. During baking, additional juice will be released from the cod and it will be stewed in the oven until tender.
6. Remove the fish from the oven 2 minutes before cooking, sprinkle it with grated hard cheese, which melts well at high temperature, and return to the oven for another 2 minutes.
Serve oven-baked cod with vegetables and cheese with homemade pickles and your favorite side dish. Delicious, juicy cod baked in the oven is ready.
