Aliens Dark Descent - First Crusher encounter - Colony Warehouse in Dead Hills
This Aliens Dark Descent game guide video shows how to defeat the Crusher for the first time. This is a tank version of a xenomorph and you can consider this to be a mini-boss fight (Crushers will become more common later in the campaign). Your first encounter will take place during the first Dead Hills mission after entering the Colony Warehouse and picking up the Datapad. The game will warn you about the upcoming battle - make sure that your marines are healthy & not stressed and that they have plenty of ammo.
Our recommended tactic is to set up the Sentry Gun before the boss has even appeared. The Crusher will come out of the side area and turn the Sentry Gun to that direction. Once the battle has started use Suppressive Fire to slow down the beast even further. The monster may attempt charge attacks and if you notice it's started quickly move your marines to the side. Avoid standing close to the Crusher when it attempts to hit the ground and create a shockwave - your team members may be knocked down.
Don't forget about "standard" drones. Shotgun Blasts are good at killing them quickly if they surprise your team from a different side.
