By default, when we edit a cell and press the Enter Key, Excel shifts the focus to the cell below and makes that the Active cell. If we want to replicate the cell that we’ve just edited, we then need to reselect the cell in order to do so.
Holding down the Ctrl key when pressing Enter keeps the cell that we’re editing as the Active cell, so we no longer need to reselect it. This may only be one less click; but 1 becomes 2 which becomes 3 and before long we are far more efficient when working in Excel.
