Many people have asked me how to use a stump or a blender or a tortillon or tortillion or a torchon to blend their pencil drawings. You use a blender rather than your fingers to keep your drawing clean.There are oils in your finger sweat that can damage the paper and stop the smooth blending effect.
Like most things, just get a blender and have a go. then practice to build up your technique

I use a Rotring Tikky Graphic 0.3 pen and copic ciao marker pens. The paper is fairly cheap drawing cartridge or bristol paper.
