Interesting Bails Episode 2: A Silversmithing Tutorial
This tutorial shows how to make 5 different unique bail styles. There are tons of variations possibilities with these, so have fun experimenting! I would categorize these as mostly beginning or intermediate level. The materials for these can vary, but for these ones, I used 14 gauge sterling round wire, 20 gauge sterling round wire, 16 gauge sterling square wire, 22 gauge sterling sheet, 18 gauge sterling sheet, 26 gauge sterling sheet, and some sterling tube that 14 gauge wire fits nicely into. As always, I use hard silver sheet solder and My-T-Flux from Rio Grande.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others, as I've taught people for most of my life. This hobby turned into a fun side gig for me for years while I taught public school.
