What is PPPoE?

Point To Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) is a network protocol that configured as a point to point connection between two Ethernet ports. PPPoE protocol was published by the IETF in 1999. The IETF specification for PPPoE is RFC 2516.

In this tutorial we have configured a PPPoE server on Mikrotik.
