Of course using an interface like the focusrite with a condenser microphone will come at a cost but the improvement in audio quality is pretty amazing.
Why record your guitar playing?
There are many reasons why you might want to record your guitar playing. Maybe you want to track your progress over time, or maybe you want to share your music with the world. Whatever your reason, recording your guitar is a great way to preserve your music and share it with others.
So what are you waiting for?
Start recording your guitar today!.
Using your existing phone and headset there's zero cost involved and the results of such a method of recording can be good enough.
There was no processing on the phone recordings but with a little bit of time and a free digital audio workstation like cakewalk by bandlab which I used to process the last acoustic guitar recording or a similar DAW like ableton live or flstudio the sound may be improved dramatically.
The quality varies as you would imagine but some of the results were much better than I expected.
Some very good recordings came from putting the headset mic in front of a guitar amp.
The best audio results came from using the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface. No surprise there considering this device was designed precisely for that purpose.
Sometimes you just need to #record #guitar fast and these are the fastest and cheapest ways I know.
