AAX (Avid Audio eXtension) is our new advanced plug-in format, offering better workflows and sound parity when sharing sessions between DSP-accelerated and native-based Pro Tools systems. All Avid audio plug-ins are being transitioned to AAX DSP and/or AAX Native formats—many are available now and the rest will be coming soon.
