Hyundai and Kia’s 2021 EVs and beyond: E-GMP
Hyundai have just announced their new modular, EV-only, platform called Electric-Global Modular Platform or, amusingly (for Pulp Fiction fans), E-GMP.
It enables ground-up EVs of varying sizes and features unbelievably quick charging using an 800-volt system (previously only seen in the Porsche Taycan), bi-directional charging and lots more goodies.
Hyundai were already masters of efficiency so this new EV-only platform fills me with excitement.
