The company touts the BV100 battery as a worlds first to miniaturize atomic energy, fitting 63 nuclear isotopes into a battery that's only 15x15x5mm, smaller than a coin
The company states on it's website “The battery could enable devices like smartphones to operate indefinitely without recharging or drones to fly without landing,”
The battery has already entered pilot testing phase and plans to produce a battery outputting 1 watt of power by 2025, with the potential to output even more power.
The battery converts decaying isotopes into energy, potentially powering small devices such as cell phones, drones, medical devices, small robots, and even AI devices.
Betavolt also claims the battery will be able to survive a wide range of temperatures, ranging from -76F to 240F
With a modular design that allows stacking, the battery output could be enhanced to even power automobiles and motorcycles.
So, what do you think about this little portable nuclear battery?
