Union Home Minister Amit Shah speaks on The Criminal Procedure (Identification) Bill today. Home Minister Amit Shah said, "The process from registering the FIR to the case diary, then from the case diary to the chargesheet, and from the chargesheet to judgement would all be digitalized under this bill. This will also enable the clearing of the backlog of cases in the judiciary." He further added: Ensuring justice within 3 years, holding police and lawyers accountable, focusing on women and children, punishing culprits, curbing police misuse, repealing sedition, and penalising mob lynchers.
