Taiwan seeing rise in COVID-19 infections after being largely spared in 2020
Taiwan is seeing a steep rise in daily confirmed COVID-19 cases as the virus surges across the island. Taiwan was hailed as a shining example of how to handle the pandemic last year, after going 253 straight days with zero reported infections.
