How to Mix in Mono Using FL Studio (And Why)
In this video I'm going to show you how to check your mixes in mono using FL Studio 20. Then we'll talk a bit about some reasons why it's a good idea to check your mixes in mono and make sure that there aren't any issues. This technique can be useful to really help you get a more solid mix. Hope you enjoy the video!
When I first started this YouTube channel I made a "How to Mix in Mono in FL Studio" video which I recently took down. The tutorial was pretty bad and I didn't explain any of the reasons why it would be a good idea to use this technique. So my goal with this video was to revisit how to do this and also answer some of the questions that I got on the other video. Dimension Expander - This is a great simple plugin that I use a decent amount from xfer records (same company that makes OTT). You can get it on splice and some other places.

Ozone Imager - Another great free plugin from ozone which does what you would expect it to do. Has some built in meters which is definitely a nice bonus.

SPAN - This is a free spectrum analyzer plugin that I use all the time and that has a correlation meter along with some other types of metering. I highly recommend getting it if you don't have it already.
