It is winter now and our survival depends on on a warm cabin in these cold temperatures. So the fire has to be fed day and night. It is beautiful out here with Northern lights in the sky and snow on the ground. But it is also exhausting. Join us for a night and a day at our little cabin in Northern Canada.

It is the middle of the night when Sophie runs out to chop a few more pieces of firewood and restart the fire in our stove. With our small wood stove we have to do this every night when it is cold outside. During the cold nights the aurora borealis often dance the most powerful in the wintery sky...
The next morning it is hard to leave the warm bed just to find out that the fire has dies in the stove. Peter has to chop up some more firewood while Sophie begins to prepare breakfast. but even our Blue Jug is empty and so things take a while longer.
But finally all three of us sit down for a cozy and well deserved breakfast around the table...
