A very simple DIY project to replace the fuel pressure sensor on the OM642 diesel.
You'll need a 27mm open end spanner or large adjustable spanner to loosen the sensor.
It will take some extra cranking to start the engine as the rail drains when you remove the old sensor.
Tightening torque for the sensor is 70Nm. Unless you have a deep 27mm socket do it by feel. 70Nm/9.81 = 7.13kg pull on a one metre bar. For 250mm leverage it would be 4 x 7.13 = 28.5kg ... so that's pretty tight.
Make sure you keep the seat at the bottom of the threaded hole clean and don't use thread seal or sealant. Due to the extreme pressure the seal is made by two very clean machined surfaces tightened against each other.
