Michael Burry Buys Gold, China Sells US Debt, Walmart Wins Again
The Big Short's Michael Burry is buying gold and selling big tech names like Amazon and Alphabet. China continues to dump US treasuries, selling $53.3B of Uncle Sam's debt in the first quarter (they're also buying gold). Walmart continues to benefit from consumers trading down as inflation squeezes their wallets forcing more and more middle class and upper middle class shoppers to trade down into Walmart.
