For Hungarian liver we need:
1 tbsp lard (or vegetable oil)
500 g chicken liver
fry the liver (heat above medium, no need to cook until done)
1 large onion
2 cloves of garlic
a pinch of salt
a pinch of sugar
1 bell pepper (large)
tomato (3-4 pcs.)
0.5 tbsp flour
salt to taste, keep in mind that the liver is not salted
ground black pepper
nutmeg (on the tip of a teaspoon)
some greens (I have parsley)
after turning off, let it sit covered for 10 minutes.
This is so delicious! The tender, melt-in-your-mouth liver has taken on a new look in the vegetable sauce! Sweet pepper, herbs and nutmeg give it a special flavor. I'm delighted!
