An American actress, a comedian, a filmmaker, a script writer, a producer and a TV host Bonnie Hunt knew she was born to tell stories. She attended a Catholic school and later worked as a nurse in one of Chicago hospitals. In 1984 she established an improvisational comedy troupe called An Impulsive Thing, where she was performing as a stand-up comedian. Then she began appearing on a big screen, first in a TV series American Playhouse and then Rain Man. Her major breakthrough happened in the beginning on 1990s when she was featured in Beethoven, Random Hearts, The Green Mile, Cheaper by the Dozen and many others. Nowadays, Hunt is an author and host of her own shows. No wonder she is considered to be successful in the world of show-business.
Her father, Robert used to work as an electrician and was always present as a parent. He was very proud of Bonnie when she took a medical direction after school and she made him even happier having started working as a nurse. However, she never gave up her dream of becoming a part of the entertainment world. Robert passed away at 50 from a heart attack.
Mama Alice was a housewife and an occasional actress. She even featured with Bonnie in Return To Me film. The mother-daughter relationship has always been very close.

Carol is a sister who leads a private life far from the media spotlight.
One more sibling is Mary, who is a teacher by profession. She is married and together with a husband, she raises two kids.

The famous TV host walked down the aisle only once with an investment banker John Murphy in 1988. The couple had been married for almost two decades until the announcement of a divorce in 2006. This news was totally unexpected and no one even knew why it happened. However, there are several grounds as for why they could have filed for a divorce. The most probable one is that Hunt was involved in an affair with David Letterman with whom she was working on the show. After the divorce, she has been single for over a decade but as she stated in one the recent reviews, she is ready to start new relationship with a right man.
Bonnie Hunt doesn’t have kids, yet she is ready to adopt one if she finds love again. And we believe she does deserve love and happiness.
