In today’s tutorial, I’m going to show you how to delete your internet search history in Google chrome.
To get started:
1. Open up Google chrome, and click on the 3 dots located at the top right of the browser.
2. A menu dropdown will now open.
3. Hover over the “History” menu item, and click on the “History” header.
4. A history tab will now open up, where all of your browsing history is displayed.
5. From the left hand side menu, click on the “Clear browsing data” menu option.
6. A clear browsing data modal will now display.
7. From here you can select what time range you’d like to delete browsing history from. You can select from all time, last hour, last 24 hours, last 7 days, and last 4 weeks. For today’s demo, I’m going to select the last hour.
8. Now ensure that the “Browsing history” checkbox is selected.
9. From this modal, you also have the option to delete cookies and other site data, and cached images and files. For today’s demo, I’m going to unselect these options since I only want to delete browsing history.
10. Now click on the “Clear data” button.
11. All of your browsing history will now be deleted.
Why is it important to delete browser history?
Deleting browser history is important for several reasons, and individuals may choose to do so for privacy, security, and efficiency purposes.
