Electric vehicles are transforming transportation, but they also bring new challenges—especially when it comes to fire safety. That’s why Munro has partnered with Fire Safety Research Institute (FSRI), part of UL Research Institutes to help first responders better understand and manage EV battery fires.

UL’s team is actively training firefighters to handle these complex incidents effectively, while Munro provides critical insights into battery packs after they’ve been removed from the vehicle post-fire. By studying these damaged packs, we’re helping to advance fire response strategies and improve industry knowledge on battery safety and containment.
