Hittin' The Tape - Printing Percussion loops to Cassette and 1/4" Reel to Reel Tape
In this video I take some percussion loops (shaker, bongo and djembe) that Red Walrus & I recorded even further by printing them to cassette and reel to reel tape through some effects on the Roland SP-555.
The results range from subtle tape saturation to distorted madness.

Red is the percussionist for Action Bronson's live band and a member of Harry Fraud's Surf School team. Red and I have made compositions that have been sampled into beats for artists such as Curren$y, 03 Greedo and French Montana. We recorded several different instruments at various bpms and layered things just like we would in regular creative session.
