Node.js/Express.js Using Handlebars Templating Engine

Hello, this is Christian. Welcome to another course with me. In this video, we’re going to create a simple Express.js application using the Handlebars template system.
We start by converting an existing static website into an Express application. This website was initially created in Unit 1 as a basic personal site with four pages. Our goal is to transform it using Express and Handlebars for better data rendering.
First, we visit the Handlebars.js website to explore its documentation, though it's somewhat minimal. Handlebars allows us to use templates to dynamically generate HTML. We'll focus on essential features like built-in helpers, including the `if` statement for conditionals and the `each` statement for looping through arrays or objects.
Next, in our IDE, we see our static HTML setup from Unit 1, which includes the index page and a portfolio page. We'll create a new folder for Unit 6 and start converting these static pages into dynamic ones using Express and Handlebars.
By the end of this video, you’ll have a dynamic Express.js application capable of rendering data using Handlebars templates. This approach enhances the maintainability and scalability of your web applications.
