How to Fix Mouse Wheel Scrolling Problem (Easy Tutorial)
In today’s tutorial, I’m going to show you how to fix your mouse if you’re having issues with it, and it’s not working correctly in Windows 10 or 11.
To get started:
1. Go into the Windows start bar and type in “Run”, and click on the Run application to open it up.
2. When Run opens up, type in “Control.exe”, and hit the enter key on your keyboard.
3. The control panel application will now open up.
4. Click on the “View by” drop down menu, and select the option for “Large icons”.
5. Now click on the “Mouse” menu option.
6. A mouse properties dialog will now open up.
7. From the buttons tab, you’ll see a section called “double click speed”, from here you’ll probably notice that your speed is set all the way to the left on slow. You’ll want to move the speed slider to the right to make the double click speed faster.
8. Once you’ve made these changes, click on the “Wheel” tab. Under the vertical scrolling section, you’ll want to change the “following number of lines at a time” value to 7, then in the horizontal scrolling field, change the value to 5.
9. Please note, before making these updates, write down the original values, that way you can always revert the changes if it doesn’t work as expected.
10. Now click on the “Apply” and “OK” button.
11. Your mouse issues should now be fixed.
