How the captain hijacked the warship of the USSR
On November 8, 1975, Captain Valery Sablin raised an uprising on the Watchtower ship. On that day, Sablin turned to the crew with the words: “The current state apparatus should be thoroughly cleaned and partially thrown into a landfill of history. A plan of action - we go to Kronstadt, and then to Leningrad - the city of three revolutions. ” He isolated the ship commander, arbitrarily removed the ship from the raid in Riga and led to Leningrad. The uprising was suppressed immediately.
Valery Mikhailovich Sablin was born on January 1, 1939 in Leningrad in the family of a hereditary naval sailor Mikhail Sablin. In 1960 he graduated from the Leningrad Higher Naval School named after Frunze. He received the specialty of a ship artilleryman and began serving in the Northern Fleet as an assistant battery commander 130-mm guns of a destroyer.
Until 1969, he served in combat positions and, from the post of assistant commander of the guard ship of the Northern Fleet, entered the Lenin Military-Political Academy. He graduated from the Academy in 1973 with honors: his name was knocked out on a marble board among the names of other best graduates of the Academy (in November 1975 he was hastily cut down by a chisel). After graduating from the Academy, captain of the III rank Sablin was appointed a political commissar for a large anti -submarine ship ""Storozheva"".
Sablin has developed a detailed program for the reconstruction of society. Sablin was distinguished by high political activity and already wrote to Khrushchev, setting out his thoughts about the purity of party ranks. He advocated a multi -party, freedom of speech and discussions, a change in the order of elections in the party and the country. To announce his program, pointing out serious mistakes and the decomposition of the Soviet leadership, the officer decided from the ""rostrum"" of the BPC ""Storozheva"".
However, Sablin could not immediately realize his plan. The ship was new, the crew was only formed. The officers were loaded with work. During the combat service, the political officer studied the crew and gradually introduced his views and plans of some of its members, found like -minded people among them.
